CECELIA’s Cranapple-Walnut Cake Recipe

                               Wow, what a hit!  Here is Cecelia’s recipe

Cranapple-Walnut Cake

1 3/4 c light brown sugar
1 stick + 1/5 stick butter, soft
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2c flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1 t salt
2 c sliced cooking apples
1/2 c walnut pieces
1/2 lb fresh, whole, raw cranberries

Cream together butter and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Beat well.  Sift together flour and dry ingredients.  Combine with first mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.  Stir in apples, cranberries, and nuts.  Bake in well greased 9×13 pan, 45-50 minutes at 350◦
